It appears that Britney Spears may not have too long to linger in the afterglow of newlywed bliss. As first reported by TMZ, Jamie Spears, Britney’s father from whom she won independence from last year, has asked a judge to force the pop star to sit for a new deposition.

He has claimed that Britney is currently impugning his character on social media. He also believes there will be more written her forthcoming memoir. At issue, TMZ says, are specific accusations that Jamie wishes to dispute, like that Britney was forced to give “eight tubes of blood for medical treatment, was forced to participate in therapy, and was not allowed to own pain-reliever meds.”

He also claims that Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, is refusing to schedule the deposition. Rosengart has reportedly called Jamie’s new move “another tactic to bully, harass and intimidate his daughter.” Rosengart also said that Jamie Spears has been dodging requests for further depositions himself. 

For her part, Britney Spears will not likely be commenting about her father—or anyone else—on social media for now. She took down her Instagram on Thursday. While this is not the first time she’s done this, it is the first time as a married woman, and maybe the stability of matrimony to Sam Asghari has inspired her to give online-ness a rest.

On Wednesday, Britney corrected some media reports that suggested her brother, Bryan Spears, had been invited to her wedding, but he declined to come. Her mother and father, as well as her sister, whose own memoir inspired Britney to call her a “scum person,” were not welcome, and a post on Instagram made it clear her relationship with Bryan was still frosty, too.

“You were never invited to my wedding so why even respond ??? Do you honestly think I want my brother there who told me no to a Jack and coke for 4 years…what???” the singer wrote, continuing, “if we were going to drink together at the wedding and play the classy roles for the children like you and mom as you literally hid coffee and alcohol when I would come home.”

She went on, “you hurt me and you know it!!!” and concluded “I might force myself to drink Jack tonight…look up at the moon and say ‘FUCK YOU !!!’ I know you’re blood and yes blood runs deep but no family of mine would do what you guys did to me.”

Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, left complimentary remarks on her daughter’s wedding photos last weekend. “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding!” she wrote. “And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!” she added.

In February, Britney secured a blockbuster publishing deal for her memoirs. The reportedly $15 million contract put her in the same league as Michelle and Barack Obama, and ahead of such notables as Bruce Springsteen, Hillary Clinton, and Pope John Paul II.
