Miami might be the butt of many jokes, but there’s no denying the pride we’ve got in the Magic City — so much so that we proudly celebrate the date that matches our most well-known area code. Yup, that’s right March 5th is officially considered 305 Day in Miami Dade. Naturally, that means there are quite a few businesses who offer special deals, promotions, and Miami-inspired menu items for this one very special day.

From free cafecito to special collabs and even deals that aim to benefit charities around the world. Here are 12 fun deals taking place around Miami just for 305 Day.

Flour and Weirdoughs teams up with 1-800-Lucky

YIP, located inside Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky, is teaming up with Miami’s popular bakery, Flour & Weirdoughs for this special holiday. The trio will celebrate 305 Day by serving up ‘The Three Ho Five Duck Danish’ available until sold out at both 1-800-Lucky and Flour & Weirdoughs. YIP is providing their signature peking duck for the danish which will be baked with Flour & Weirdoughs’ signature dough and filled with scallions, cucumber drizzled in hoisin sauce.

305 Day celebration at Wharf Miami

Stop by to celebrate 305 Day along the historic Miami River featuring live music, rosé specials, and more. The celebration kicks off at 12pm where attendees can enjoy $30 Whispering Angel until 4pm. Children, & leashed dogs are welcome with parent or guardian before 6pm — after that the venue is strictly 21+. Reserve your spot here.

La Cañita is giving away cafecito

La Cañita is the latest Cuban-Caribbean concept-driven restaurant from James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein and partner David Martinez, located in Bayside Marketplace. As a nod to 305 Day, La Canita will provide every guest with a complimentary cafecito when ordering any sandwich from the menu on Saturday, March 5th. 

80’s 305 Bar throws Miami Vice party with free drinks

On Saturday, March 5th celebrate 305 Day at 80’s 305 Bar (located in the back of Cafe La Trova) with a special 80’s dance party. Enjoy a special complimentary cocktail if you show up in your best Miami Vice duds; plus DJ Funktual will be hosting dance contests with prizes. The doors open at midnight.

305 Day at Pubbelly Sushi

In celebration of the Magic City, Pubbelly Sushi is giving away a free Heat Roll (with spicy tuna, nori tempura flakes, albacore, garlic ponzu, garlic aioli) if you post and show your Yelp review at any Pubbelly locations in person on March 5th only. Valid one per customer.

COYO Taco donates to World Central Kitchen on 305 Day

In the spirit of 305 Day, all COYO Taco Miami locations are donating a percentage of sales from March 5th to World Central Kitchen. Founded by Chef Jose Andres, this non-profit organization is dedicated to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Since the attack on Russia, the UN estimates over 500,000 Ukrainians have fled since the attack began. Chef Jose Andres and his WCK team have set up sites along the border of Ukraine to feed refugees fleeing the country as well as residents who remain in the country. 

9th Annual 305 DAY Block Party

Taking place at Factory Town, is a family-friendly cultural festival celebrating all things 305 on March 5th with music, kids talent showcase, local art, car show and local small business vendor marketplace with nearly 50 vendors. The event is open to the public and all ages welcome. From mouth watering tacos to burgers to the best pastelitos, there is definitely enough food to go around — veg-friendly options, too. Kick off your 305 DAY with free cafecito from Café La Llafe and BBQ sliders by Jim Beam x Pinecrest Bakery while they last. The first 1000 attendees will also receive free pastries from Vicky Bakery.

Mickey Burkes offers cocktail deals

Newcomer, Mickey Burkes, known as “a place for all” is the city’s new neighborhood restaurant and bar where locals want to hang out. Named after Miami Beach’s local hospitality icon, Mickey Burke, guests are encouraged to celebrate the official 3-0-5 at Mickey Burkes. Available on Saturday, March 5th until 7pm, the bar & lounge will offer guests a “Miami Time” frozen colada-style cocktail made with Teeling Whiskey and a “Friends with Benefits” Guava Margarita made with Cazadores Tequila for $7. For a boozy touch, add an extra shot for $3.05.  

305 weekend at the National Hotel

From Friday, March 4th through Sunday, March 6th , when you purchase the ‘Not Too Fashioned’ cocktail made with Bulleit Rye infused coffee, banana, and chocolate bitters, the hotel will donate $2 for each cocktail sold to Chapman Partnership.

Ball & Chain serves Miami Mojitos for $3.05 

One of the most iconic venues in Miami, Ball & Chain, will be celebrating the magic city on 305 Day by offering Miami Mojitos for $3.05 during happy hour from 4 to 6pm. This special mojito is made with Bacardi superior rum, fresh squeezed lime juice, mango puree, sugar and mint. The perfect liquid courage to get you on the dance floor while the Latin Jazz band plays.

Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop gives away coffee

Let’s face it, one can’t truly celebrate 305 day without a cafecito, the pillar of Cuban coffee culture. Lucky for Magic City-dwellers, on Saturday, March 5, Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop will be offering free coffee (including regular drip, café con leche, lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, espresso shots and more) all day long with the purchase of any slice of pie, cake or cheesecake. This 305 Day promo will be available at both FDBS locations.

Phuc Yea x Sanguich de Miami

In honor of 305 Day, Phuc Yea is proud to be partnering with, yet another, quintessentially Miami restaurant – Sanguich de Miami. They will be offering Cafecito Martinis (Helix vanilla vodka, espresso, hazelnut cordial, and condensed milk) and Pastelito Daiquiris (Brugal 1888, guava, mascarpone, toasted coconut, and lime) alongside the croquetas from Sanguich de Miami. The $12 special applies throughout the restaurant from 6 to 7:30pm during happy hour and $16 from 7:30pm until close. Available this weekend starting on Saturday, March 5th.
