Los Angeles-based B2B music licensing company Songtradr has forged a partnership with live streaming service, Twitch.
This partnership brings Songtradr’s music service, Pretzel, to Twitch streamers, offering what it says is “a treasure trove of licensed music to enhance their streams”.
Songtradr acquired Pretzel, a platform that supplies “stream safe” music to livestreamers on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, in 2021.
Through this partnership with Songtradr, Twitch streamers will have access to Pretzel’s Premium Subscription tier for 90 days until September 15, giving them free trial access to over 550,000 “Twitch-safe” tracks.
In addition to Pretzel Premium, which costs $9.99 per month, the platform offers a ‘Pro’ subscription tier for professional Twitch and YouTube content creators.
In addition to ‘Twitch-safe’ music, Pretzel offers over 100,000 ‘YouTube-safe tracks and over 50,000 downloadable tracks.
Songtradr says that Pretzel has over half a million users.
Songtradr’s partnership with Twitch follows a series of announcements from the company.
In October, Songtradr launched a new tech solution called Smart Sync, which it calls “an advanced technology to track, control, and monetize music catalogs”.
The new tech launch followed the company’s acquisition in June 2022 of AI metadata and music search company, Musicube.
In addition to Musicube, Songtradr’s portfolio of music companies includes Massive Music (acquired in June 2021), Big Sync Music (acquired in February 2019) and Song Zu (acquired in March 2021).
Other companies acquired by Songtradr include film, TV and gaming music data platform Tunefind.
In September 2020, Songtradr invested $1m in music credit resource Jaxsta, and inked an exclusive partnership
