The ‘Online Music Guide’ conference is to take place in London on Thursday, October 12.

The program includes panel discussions consisting of tips for emerging artists, effective music promotion techniques and reflections on the future of music in the context of artificial intelligence and more.

For those who cannot attend this event in person, there is an opportunity to participate in the online broadcast.

The conference is a continuation of the Erasmus project, as part of which a guide to the world of streaming was created called Go Online.

Although the first version of the textbook was released in 2022, the organizers decided to update the early version of the book and add an additional chapter devoted to new technologies.

The ‘Online Music Guide’ event will combine the premiere of the new edition of the guide with presentations full of useful tips and an expert panel.

The Conference will be chaired by Professor Sally Anne Gross, a music business consultant and lecturer in the field of the music industry at the University of Westminster.

There will also be representatives of platforms such as YouTube Music and Music Ally, as well as the Chartmetric statistical tool.

Participants who register for the event, either on-site or online, will also receive a link to download the textbook in Polish and English.

In the near future, complementary educational materials related to the event will be created, such as an audiobook and additional language versions of the textbook, about which only registered users will be notified.

Andrzej Dąbrowski, the originator of the project and owner of Independent Digital, said: “The world of digital music distribution is extremely complex.

“To understand its functioning and the relationships between individual elements, you need to look at it holistically. Hence the idea to create a textbook that would collect all this information in one place.

“Who’s who in the music industry, what are the methods of promotion and how the digital sales market works – these are just some of the issues we discuss in the ‘Online Music Guide’.

“This handbook is an opportunity for creators, record labels, producers and performers to deepen their knowledge and use it on their own career path.’’
